Below are a selection of walks
within the Northern Lake District with emphasis on routes
around Derwentwater and Keswick. The walks have been given
a brief description, the average time to take for complete
route and our grading. Please follow the links for more details

Keswick
Landings to Ashness
Brief Description: Lakeside
walk taking you past Friar's Crag and Calfclose Bay to Ashness
Time: 1 - 2 hours
Grading: Easy
Hawse
End to Lodore Landings
Brief Description: Gentle
lakeshore walk which ends at the famous Lodore waterfalls
(where you can also have lunch!)
Time: 2 hours
Grading: Easy
Ashness Bridge and
Surprise View
Brief Description: Picturesque
uphill route past the often photographed Ashness Bridge and
up to the stunning scene from Surprise View.
Time: 2 hours
Grading: Medium
Rosthwaite
- Watendlath - Keswick
Brief Description: Rugged
but stunning walk taking in the best of the Borrowdale views
Time: 4 hours
Grading: Difficult
Hawse
End to Brandelhow via Catbells
Brief Description: Strenuous
walk to top of Catbells but you are met with some of the most
beautiful views in the Lakes
Time: 3 - 4 hours
