Boat Hire
Hire a rowing or motor boat and explore Derwentwater and its islands under your own steam.
Hire a rowing boat or self drive cabin cruiser motor boat and sail around the islands and discover little inlets and beaches as you explore Derwentwater under your own steam.
Hire a family size boat for up to two hours. Large boats to cater for up to 8 adults can be provided.
No boating experience is necessary as we provide full safety instruction and life jackets for everyone on board.
You can take dogs on the hire boats if you like.
Boat Hire available from 2nd April until 1st November.
The rowing boats and standard motor boats can’t be pre-booked, just pay by card at the motor boat jetty, the fourth jetty along from the launch ticket office, or in the launch ticket office for rowing boats. The luxury motor boats are online booking only, see below.
